Describe an ideal school
Going to a school is an important part of our life. We learn there to read and write, to do sums. With the help of teachers, students become aware of many interesting things about the surrounding world. The ideal school for me is the one which gives you not only a good knowledge of a subject but also teaches you how to cope with different problems which you face in real life. It is the place where students form their characters, so the school should take the responsibility to teach them some moral principles and social behaviour.
I close my eyes and see my ideal school. It is situated in the centre of the town. It is spacious and has large windows which overlook the sea - garden. The school has many classrooms, a huge library where students can go and read in peace. There is a room with computers connected with internet which can be used not only during classes but also in the breaks. There is also a great variety of sports facilities where you can keep fit - a swimming pool, tennis courts, volleyball and football playgrounds, basketball pitches. The building is actually so attractive that students are eager to come in.
What is more, the students in this school, together with their teachers compose the curriculum, according to their interests. For example, the students who are keen on singing or playing a musical instrument, have more music lessons. They have also the opportunity to take part in the choir of the school which has performances all over the country. Those pupils who love drawing have more lessons among nature with a canvas in front of them.
In my ideal school teachers don't retell the new lessons in class because most of the students become bored with that and may even fall asleep. Children here are obliged to prepare their lessons at home with the help of computer. In class the teacher only give some curious or specific details and organize discussions on the topic. In this way, students become used to coping with their tasks alone and also learn how to express their thoughts freely.
In this school teachers and students are good friends. If something bothers children, they turn to their teachers who have more experience and give them priceless advice. The students here get the marks they deserve.
